Renounce is a mixed media work incorporating pencil, gouache, ink, gold leaf, and symbolic imagery. It explores the therapeutic process of laying down old beliefs, surrendering control, and trusting. Created through processes informed by the expressive therapies continuum (etc), the artwork engages both conscious and unconscious parts of the mind. The symbols used in the piece are intentional to feelings and experiences beyond words, creating space for reflection, healing, and transformation.
